We made our last trip home from Ashkins without Drey. We are all so relieved. It is hard to leave each time. It is such a long trip and he was tired today. Hannah and Todd think he wasn't feeling well. The highlights for him included cookies and the box the shoes were in. His new shoes fit him well. He showed his temper again today as you can see in the one picture with Addie and I.
We stayed home for the afternoon and evening having both meals in the apartment. Today is Russian Independents Day so we didn't know how the crowds might be in the restaurants. There aren't too many people out and about that we can see from our window.
We have definitely started the countdown until we can be home again with all of you. We miss you!!!!

Monday can't come fast enough for ALL of us who are reading each day! It will just be a major mile marker and definately, you'll see what your in for with Drey! He is going to get his first taste of what a true family is like and how it feels to be a part of a real family! How exciting! This next week will be good for him to ease into life with you all before you get home and start the day to day life where he may not always be the center of everyone's attention. OF COURSE HE WILL BE THE CENTER OF ATTENTION! WE ALL WAITED YEARS FOR THIS! But, life will change for him so this next week will be a very big learning curve for that sweet little boy. Even with temper tantrums, life will be more special for you too! Love you lots. Donna
ReplyDeleteI want to know hannah are the blue shoes a new fashion statement. lol well he is showing he is all boy! lol Im so glad the shoes worked out. you did good for not knowing russian. I just pray the trip home is going to go well and not be the stories of some of my friend who have gotten children from russia. well monday is almost here and what a journey it has been. and Im glad life will be somewhat back to normal for you. to many tears have been sheed threw this and I am glad they are of joy now!!
